Sr. Associate, Procurement & Contract Management

Reporting to the Manager, Procurement and Contract Management, the Sr. Associate supports CNW procurement, contracting, vendor onboarding, and service delivery activities. This role assists with procurement strategy, tendering, contract administration, vendor performance tracking, and Service Level Agreement (SLA) management across the Cleaning & Waste program. The position plays a key role in coordinating procurement and contract management activities, maintaining documentation and compliance requirements, tracking vendor deliverables and performance metrics, and supporting Games readiness milestones. Working across internal and external stakeholders, this role helps ensure procurement activities, contractual obligations, and service delivery requirements remain aligned with CNW operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:

Procurement & Tendering
  • Support development, administration, and tracking of procurement activities, RFPs, RFIs, and tendering processes
  • Coordinate procurement documentation, schedules, and submission requirements
  • Maintain procurement records and ensure alignment with project milestones

Contract & SLA Administration
  • Support development, review, and administration of contracts, scopes of work, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Maintain contract documentation and track key obligations, deliverables, and milestones
  • Support contract amendments, renewals, and compliance activities

Vendor Management & Performance Tracking
  • Support vendor onboarding and readiness activities
  • Assist with tracking vendor performance, service levels, KPIs, and contractual requirements
  • Maintain reporting and documentation related to vendor compliance and performance

Research, Compliance & Reporting
  • Conduct market research and analysis to support sourcing strategies and procurement decisions
  • Perform administrative duties that contribute to executing LA28 Cleaning and Waste service delivery standards across competition and non-competition venues
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with LA28 policies and applicable procurement requirements
  • Prepare reports, trackers, and documentation to support procurement and contract management activities
Background & Requirements
Expectations:

Experience
  • Experience supporting procurement, contracting, vendor onboarding, or service delivery programs in the events industry
  • 4+ years of experience in procurement, contract management, vendor management, sourcing, operations, project coordination, or related functions
  • Experience coordinating stakeholders, tracking deliverables, and managing documentation
  • Experience in venue operations, major events, logistics, facilities, hospitality, or related operational environments preferred
  • Olympic, Paralympic, or other major event experience preferred
  • Familiarity with California and local procurement principles, public-sector procurement processes, or related contracting environments preferred.

Education:

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
  • Available to work onsite in our Downtown Los Angeles-based office
  • The majority of work will be conducted in an office setting, requiring extended periods of time using computers, phones, and other office equipment.
  • The LA28 office is an open floorplan working environment; employees must be able to work efficiently in an open cubicle environment.
  • Hours of work may vary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak event periods.
  • Perform other duties as required; the role will evolve over time and may include operational responsibilities during the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The annual base salary range for this position is $73,000.00 - $98,000.00. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28's operational business needs and applicable law.
