Role Background

The Senior Associate, Data Operations will be a senior member of Wealthspire's Data Operations Team and will partner closely with other members of the Wealthspire Data Operations Team as well as with members of the Investment Operations team, including the Head of Trading, Portfolio Managers, and Compliance. This position requires advanced quantitative ability, strong attention to detail, and honed organizational and leadership skills to successfully own and manage a broad set of operational responsibilities, set standards across the team, and mentor junior staff in the following areas:

Responsibilities
• Serve as a liaison with Addepar for data maintenance and platform governance of the firm's Addepar instance
• Own and administer security settings and permissioning standards
• Design and maintain account groupings, saved views, templates, reports, and dashboards
• Manage population of account and group attributes for new accounts and clients
• Validate accuracy of client performance and capital flows, and resolve escalated discrepancies
• Verify that security, portfolio, transaction, and pricing data from custodians and other sources is accurate
• Lead broader database maintenance, data quality and data flow automation initiatives
• Maintain database back-up files and supporting controls
• Support trading operations within Addepar and related trading tools
• Own alternative and private investment data operations, including administration of Canoe for document ingestion, capital call and distribution capture, and statement processing; oversee private investment valuations, commitment and cash flow tracking, and reconciliation of alternative holdings across custodians, fund administrators, and the reporting platform
• Review, update, and improve overall processes/procedures; document and enforce best practices

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree
• At least six years of relevant work experience, including experience in a lead or supervisory capacity
• Hands-on experience with Addepar (or comparable portfolio accounting/reporting platform); experience with Canoe or similar alternative investment data platforms strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of private investment structures, capital calls, distributions, and valuation practices
• Numerical accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize competing initiatives, manage projects end to end, and work in a team environment
• Professional appearance and manner
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including comfort presenting to senior stakeholders
