Job Description:
Location: Santa Clara, CA
This Senior Manager, Technical Planning will help drive the latest software platform technology innovation on client's mobile devices, work collaboratively with client mobile software team, and support with technology strategy and technology proposals. Develop and manage partners in North America and worldwide. Duties include research of emerging mobile OS technologies and develop insight analysis, architecting key features and coordinate its prototyping, help continuous innovation of client's mobile software and services.
REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential Functions - Area of focus is one/more of the following domain depending on candidate's expertise: study emerging developments, identify opportunity, design innovative feature and propose product solution
- Artificial Intelligence(AI), Computer Vision, ASRS/NLP applications on mobile
- Augmented/Virtual Reality(AR/VR), multimedia, camera technologies on mobile
- Mobile OS technologies, kernel, power, performance, security
- Responsible for domain technology analysis, understand the industry's cutting-edge technology developments, develop technology insights, and lead the technology planning of mobile device software to drive innovation for mobile product.
- Collaborate with technology partners, conduct technical evaluation / prototyping, and drive collaboration projects, incl. engaging with existing partners
- Identify emerging technologies and solutions, help incubate and develop key capabilities, and orchestrate its application in next-generation mobile devices that deliver a rich, engaging customer experience.
- Innovate competitive mobile product features, and manage the prototyping for proof of concept
- Demonstrate customer-centric thought leadership across multiple technical disciplines
- Self-starter, a true team player, able to work in fast-paced environment, proven success in working within a globalized multi-culture organization.
- Knowledge of mobile market needs and key focus of the competitive handset devices
- Experience in innovation and working with diverse teams to drive results is a plus
- Experience in product marketing, program/product management helps
- Travel as work needs, including visit client HQ in China
JOB SPECIFICATIONS (Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)Education:
Minimum: Bachelor's Degree
Preferred: Master's Degree
Major/Discipline: Computer Science, Engineering or Related Fields, MB plus
Relevant Work Experience
Minimum: 6 years of relevant software engineering, product/technology planning/management experience
Preferred: 10 years of relevant software engineering, product/technology planning/management experience
