Position Overview

The Senior Sourcing Advisor is a strategic liaison between Category Managers, internal business stakeholders, and suppliers throughout the sourcing lifecycle. This role serves as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders in unmanaged categories of spend and is responsible for driving data-informed sourcing decisions. A strong background in sourcing, procurement, category management, finance, or analytics is required.

This position leverages advanced analytics, AI-driven insights, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) to optimize sourcing strategies, enhance supplier evaluation, and improve decision-making. The Sr. Sourcing Advisor leads sourcing initiatives by translating business requirements into actionable insights, utilizing predictive analytics, and applying advanced sourcing methodologies (RFXs, should-cost modeling, and scenario analysis). The role requires a proactive individual who can independently identify innovative, data-driven solutions that optimize cost, quality, and risk while supporting Exact Sciences' strategic objectives.

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Leverage advanced analytics, AI tools, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau) to generate insights that drive sourcing strategies and decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor supplier performance, spend analytics, savings pipelines, and risk indicators.
  • Lead (or partner with Category Managers in) the analysis of proposal responses using data modeling, scenario analysis, and AI-assisted insights.
  • Apply predictive analytics and market intelligence tools to forecast pricing trends, supplier risks, and demand variability.
  • Own and enhance the supply agreement/contracting process by incorporating data-driven insights and benchmarking tools.
  • Support contract negotiations using fact-based analytics, should-cost models, and total cost of ownership (TCO) frameworks.
  • Define and execute RFPs/RFQs utilizing digital sourcing tools, automation, and AI-supported evaluation methods.
  • Mine, cleanse, and analyze large datasets (spend, supplier, market) to identify cost-saving and value-generation opportunities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to translate business needs into analytical models and actionable sourcing strategies.
  • Utilize Tableau or similar tools to present complex data in a clear, compelling manner to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual sourcing and reporting processes through AI and digital tools.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by embedding analytics and AI into procurement workflows.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging technologies in procurement analytics, AI, and digital sourcing platforms.
  • Continue all original responsibilities related to stakeholder communication, supplier engagement, negotiations, and sourcing execution.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in supply chain, finance, or a field related to essential duties.
  • 7+ years of industry experience in sourcing, supply chain, procurement, information technology, finance, operations, or a field related to the essential duties.
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiation with supplier leadership and enterprise level contract management, including a working understanding of contractual terms and conditions and risk mitigation.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Working knowledge or hands-on experience with AI/ML tools, predictive analytics, or automation technologies in a procurement or supply chain context.
  • Advanced analytical skills, including experience with data modeling, statistical analysis, or large dataset manipulation (e.g., Excel advanced functions, SQL, Python, or similar tools).
  • Experience leveraging digital sourcing platforms, eProcurement tools, or AI-enabled procurement solutions.
  • Familiarity with data governance, data quality management, and analytics best practices.
  • 2+ years of experience working within Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, such as SAP.
  • 3+ years of experience sourcing process execution.
  • Professional working knowledge with 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485, and/or cGMP structured environments

Salary Range:
$91,000.00 - $155,000.00

The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis. In addition, this position is bonus eligible.
