Sr Analyst, Strategy & Special Projects

The Velocity team delivers insights that move the business, facilitate clinical stewardship, educate leadership, and create value for our investors. On Strategy, we partner with senior operations leaders to evaluate key trends and inform decisions driving growth, external partnerships, and business development. On Special Projects, we develop and project-manage initiatives that transform kidney care for teammates and patients within our geography.

The Senior Analyst - Strategy & Special Projects is a key partner on a team that senior leadership depends upon for insights. The role is suited for a high-character individual who likes challenging problems, thinks creatively, has great communication skills, and is a team player. We are looking for smart, talented, and fun people to help drive performance, shape strategy, and become leaders
within our business.

Responsibilities include:
  • Analysis: Build, refine, and own sustainable models which facilitate reporting, dashboards, and analysis (variance, sensitivity, statistical); consistently create thoughtful, trustworthy analysis.
  • Value Creation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex issues and identify opportunities to deliver profitable growth and bottom-line leverage to DaVita.

Operations Strategy
  • Partner with finance and operations leaders to assess and quantify opportunities to innovate, improve financial performance, and foster profitable growth, including optimization of clinical footprint and potential external partnerships.
  • Generate insights around performance drivers, including patient admissions, geographic trends, payor mix, and seasonality.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual quantitative portfolio growth analysis and present summarized takeaways to senior leaders.
  • Facilitate the multi-year forecast process, including meaningful outputs, presentation materials, and an efficient user experience for finance and operations partners.

Special Projects
  • Develop projects that facilitate strategic goals, including growth, financial, operations, team culture, and clinical considerations; deliver accountable timelines, creative solutions, and full engagement.
  • Propose and monitor project plans, including high engagement and effective coordination with cross-functional stakeholders, and proactive communication.
  • Step up to meet ad hoc challenges identified within the organization with dependable project management, organization, and proactive communication.
  • Serve as an analytical and storytelling resource to support goals across all functions within the operating group.

  • Location: Preference for candidates located in Pacific Standard Time Zone. Role will primarily be remote.
  • Education: Requires a Bachelor's degree.
  • Work Experience: 1-3 years of experience - prior investment banking, management consulting, project management, or financial planning and analysis (FP&A).

The Salary Range for the role is $82,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year.

If a candidate is hired, they will be paid at least the minimum wage according to their geographical jurisdiction and the exemption status for the position.

Washington Exempt: $80,168.40/year Washington Non-exempt: Bellingham: $19.13/hour, Burien: $21.63/hour, Everette: $20.77/hour, Unincorporated King County: $20.82/hour, Renton: $21.57/hour, Seattle: $21.30/hour, Tukwila: $21.65/hour, Remainder of Washington state: $17.13/hour
