Full Job Description
Job Purpose

Lead Enterprise GSM Systems Strategy, Governance, and compliance initiatives to advance BorgWarner's Supply Chain Data & Systems vision. This role is responsible for driving scalable data and systems solutions that enhance visibility, reporting, analytics, and overall business effectiveness across Global Supply Chain Management. In partnership with the Businesses, GSM, IT, the role influences cross-functional priorities, aligns enterprise decision making, and ensures effective execution of high-impact systems, compliance, AI, and automation initiatives within BorgWarner's LAGS Operating Model. This position reports to the Director, Enterprise Data and Systems.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, Own and be SME for Advanced Commodity Management Engine(ACME), Conflict & Enhanced Minerals Management, Supplier Performance Management Systems (SPMS), Enterprise AI initiatives & automation.

1. Strategy and Systems Design responsibilities

  • Define, own, and enforce enterprise GSM Systems strategy initiatives and governance into scalable system and data solutions.


  • Identify required data elements and assess availability across BW systems.


  • Evaluate feasibility of solutions aligned with Supply Chain Business (SCB) requirements.


  • Define business logic, calculations, and data transformations needed to deliver expected outputs.


  • Provide clear directions to IT Data Architects on solution priorities and design requirements.


  • Validate and course-correct system architecture to ensure alignment with business intent.


  • Lead Pilot/Proof-of-Concept (POC) initiatives to validate solutions before enterprise rollout.


  • Establish validation processes, datasets, and success criteria for pilots.


  • Lead adoption of AI, advanced analytics, and digital solutions to enhance enterprise visibility.


2. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Business Enablement

  • Partner with Finance and other functions to ensure system outputs support enterprise-wide needs.


  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align cross-functional decisions, establish clear direction, and ensure data solutions deliver measurable business value.


  • Provide IT teams with clarity on system purpose, functionality, and expected outcomes.


  • Support IT problem-solving by proposing solution alternatives and trade-offs.


3. Training, Rollout & Change Management

  • Develop comprehensive training materials and documentation.


  • Define rollout strategies and business adoption frameworks.


  • Ensure consistent global adoption and utilization of systems and processes.


  • Lead training sessions and provide ongoing mentoring to business users.


  • Ensure smooth transition from pilot to full-scale deployment.


  • Define enterprise-wide change management and rollout strategies.


4. Conflict Minerals & Compliance Leadership

Lead and own the end-to-end execution and continuous improvement of the enterprise Conflict Minerals (CM) and Enhanced Minerals (EM)program:

  • Lead and manage conflict minerals (CM) compliance operations, ensuring full regulatory adherence while protecting the business from legal exposure, revenue disruption, and reputational risk.


  • Oversee external service providers and vendors supporting CM compliance, ensuring cost-effective delivery, operational efficiency, and consistent audit-ready outcomes.


  • Drive execution and continuous improvement of annual CM campaigns, increasing supplier response rates, improving data quality, and ensuring readiness to support critical customer and regulatory requirements without disruption to business continuity.


  • Own and deliver high-quality, customer-facing compliance responses (CMRT/EMRT and regulatory inquiries), ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency-recognized as a critical capability to secure customer trust, support revenue retention, and maintain BorgWarner's position as a preferred supplier.


  • Mitigate regulatory and sanctioned entity risks through structured due diligence processes, safeguarding the organization from compliance penalties and supply chain disruptions.


  • Review and approve supplier scoping for CMRT and EMRT processes, ensuring complete, accurate, and defensible reporting aligned with customer expectations and regulatory standards.


  • Manage analysis of sales and procurement data, enabling high-quality compliance reporting and strengthening credibility in customer disclosures and audits.


  • Track and drive compliance KPIs and governance metrics, enabling proactive risk management and ensuring issues impacting customer commitments are identified and addressed early.


  • Identify, assess, and escalate sanctioned entity risks, ensuring timely resolution to protect business operations and customer relationships.


  • Lead and coordinate Business Unit teams in campaign execution, ensuring alignment and timely delivery to support customer-facing commitments and reporting deadlines.


  • Serve as a key interface for customer audits and compliance inquiries, proactively addressing concerns and ensuring transparent, timely, and defensible responses that directly impact customer confidence and business continuity.


  • Support implementation of global policies, controls, and escalation frameworks, strengthening governance and enabling consistent, scalable compliance processes that support both regulatory and customer requirements globally.


5. Enterprise AI initiatives and Automation

  • SME for AI development across various GSM Systems and Business Units to improve overall operational efficiency.


  • Own and drive AI transformation across GSM systems, delivering tangible gains in efficiency, automation, and decision intelligence.


  • Identify and operationalize business-critical AI use cases, translating opportunities into scalable solutions across Business Units.


  • Orchestrate end-to-end development of AI agents, leveraging internal capabilities and external partnerships to accelerate deployment and value realization.


What we are looking for

  • Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent, master's degree in business management or finance preferred.


  • 10+ years related experience in a global position in Supply Chain, IT, Finance in Manufacturing environment.


  • Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and intuition for business to drive conclusions based on data.


  • Proficient at coordinating and managing projects (i.e. project timelines, cost tracking, etc.).


  • Proven success in showing strong organizational and interpersonal and communicational skills in a multi-national and multicultural environment.


  • Ability to manage several tasks and shift priorities concurrently to meet timelines.


  • Proficiency with Microsoft office tools including AI tools


  • Ability to travel approximately 20% of the time


Salary Range:
$125,600 - $172,700
