Full Job Description
Purpose of Role

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Global Compensation, the Sr. Compensation Analyst will be responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and administration of global compensation programs. This role will assist and support global compensation processes including benchmarking, pay analysis, and bonus and merit planning and administration. The Sr. Compensation Analyst will also collaborate with HR Business Partners in each of the business segments to provide compensation support for functional organizations that span across all business segments.

Your Impact
• Calculate and administer incentive programs, ensuring accurate and timely payouts.
• Analyze incentive plan effectiveness and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Provide day to day client group support of compensation needs coordinating closely with HR Business Partners and Business Leaders
• Actively participate in the successful implementation and management of regular compensation activities including annual compensation planning cycle, salary survey participation, compensation administration, etc.
• Conduct compensation benchmark assessments, actively seeking current market trends and industry specific data to inform appropriate solutions
• Participate in the external salary survey participation and benchmarking processes and analysis, including data collection, matching jobs, and interfacing with survey vendors.
• Conduct ad-hoc surveys and market research to stay up-to-date with trends; evaluate and provide recommendations (e.g., new hire compensation, specialized programs, retention programs, etc.).
• Create ad-hoc reports, compensation modeling and analysis as necessary
• Collaborate with HRIS and other HR team members to improve HR processes
• Utilize expertise and acumen to provide input into job architecture and compensation structure design and implementation; provide design guidance and support for the global compensation structure and incentives. Perform analyses and conduct best practices research to support decision-making.
• For the Annual Compensation Planning Process, provide end-user support, and serve as the IT liaison for the merit and bonus module. Document requirements, recommend efficiency and process improvements, test, and train on module enhancements. Develops tools, guidelines and communications for merit and bonus payouts.
• Develop and deliver continuing education as it relates to compensation programs and initiatives
• Responsible for upholding the global compensation philosophy to ensure consistency and fairness across the organization.
• Work on miscellaneous compensation and HR projects

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree required with typically 3-5 years of professional level compensation experience including job descriptions, job evaluations, completing salary surveys, establishing pay lines/salary grades, job families, career ladders and related compensation policies, programs and procedures
• Strong Attention to detail and audit mentality to ensure accuracy and compliance in all compensation processes.
• Knowledge and experience across broad based total rewards programs, specifically compensation focused
• Strong interpersonal, consultative and relationship building skills in order to initiate and develop productive working partnerships with leadership and teammates.
• Strong experience in job evaluation methodologies.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills
• Strong Excel skills in order to develop and maintain spreadsheets and perform data analysis.
• Familiarity with SuccessFactors and MarketPay preferred.
• Working knowledge of federal and state labor laws and common compensation practices and procedures
• Excellent customer service and positive interpersonal skills, including ability to facilitate and mediate sensitive and/or confrontational situations
• Experience in a change-oriented & fast paced organization would be an advantage
• Strong project management skills in order to manage deadlines and organize and prioritize competing deliverables
• Growth mindset, collaborative style of working and ability to work well in a matrix environment
• A team player, with a proactive mindset and attune to numbers.

Workplace Location

Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore, MD office
Work Schedule: This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 4 days in-office per week.

Base Compensation

$80,000.00-$110,000.00 USD

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
