Job Description

As a Sr Advanced Engineering Support Specialist here at Honeywell, you will be a key contributor to our engineering team, providing advanced technical expertise and support to drive the success of our aerospace testing and engineering activities.

You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the success of our aerospace engineering support operations by delivering high-quality technical solutions, resolving complex engineering challenges, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product performance and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with program controls and program management to:
    • Develop custom reporting
    • Facilitate reporting of critical data relating to project success to departmental financial objectives
  • Partner with engineering and procurement teams to:
    • Define and implement effective hardware tracking processes
    • Own demand creation
    • Drive Purchase Order creation
  • Support and modernize databases and systems by:
    • Maintaining existing tools
    • Migrating existing tools to modern platforms to support Digital Transformation initiatives
  • Relocation assistance could be available for eligible applicants


Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE
  • 4+ years of experience in Database development or Systems/tools development (internal tools, engineering systems, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics

WE VALUE
  • Associate's Degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience with database platforms, with strong working knowledge of relational databases. data management workflows and process automation
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Tableau, Power BI and/or Microsoft Project
  • Experience with data reporting and analytics tools
  • Experience with system migrations or legacy modernization
  • Familiarity with Agile tools or environments (such as IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management)
  • Self-starter with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong interpersonal relationships
  • Strong communicator who can work across engineering, operations, and leadership teams
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
  • Passion for building systems that improve efficiency and enable engineering success
