Are you ready to help us make the future?As a Sr Advanced Electrical Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace Technologies, you will join a team dedicated to the development, design and deployment of Test Cell Control Systems, Automation, high-speed Data Acquisition Systems and specialized Electrical Test Systems used for testing, evaluating performance and operation of aircraft systems.
ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will be part of an engineering team that is at the forefront of designing Electrical solutions, Test Cell Control Systems & specialized Electrical Test Systems critical to the testing, operation and performance of highly complex aircraft turbine engine systems & components.
- You will design Electrical solutions to unique problems, transforming concepts and ideas to CAD Electrical drawings that will be fabricated into hardware
- Utilize AutoCAD Electrical software to create detailed drawings, using block diagrams, control interconnects, panel and enclosure layouts, cable and harness assemblies.
- Design, develop and implement Test Cell Control Systems through all phases, from initial concept and detailed engineering drawings, development and commissioning.
- These Test Cell Control Systems are integral in testing and evaluating the performance, operation and efficiency of aircraft turbine engine components under various operational conditions.
- Troubleshooting test systems electrical issues or modifying facility screens to add capabilities or fix issues
- Gain exposure in the design & troubleshooting of starting systems & load banks, like eddy current and dynamometers.
- High Speed Data acquisition systems for monitoring aircraft systems.
While specific experience with test cell control systems or related electronic test systems is NOT a prerequisite, we look for individuals with a strong foundation in Electrical Engineering and Electrical Systems Design principles. QualificationsYOU MUST HAVE- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
- 5+ years of Electrical Engineering experience
- Must be a U.S. Citizen due to contractual requirements
WE VALUE- Bachelor's or advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering or related.
- Experience using AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks or other CAD applications for Electrical Design
- A strong grasp of electrical engineering concepts, principles, and practices
- Experience in solving technical problems utilizing analytical thinking
- Experience with ANY of the following is of value:
- Experience with programing languages like NI LabVIEW or Ladder Logic
- Experience with Electrical Test Systems, Control Systems, Automation, PLCs, or related is of value.
- Experience operating standard Test Equipment: digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other electrical measurement tools
- Experience in Testing environment overseeing testing of hardware is of value
- Knowledge of instrumentation for Data Acquisition i.e Thermocouples (TC's), Pressure Transducers, Strain Gages, Accelerometers (Accels), etc.
- Understanding of start systems, load banks, and dynamometers is a plus (but not required)
