Job Title: Senior Actuary - HybridLocations: Bedford, TX OR Richmond, VA OR Chicago, ILSalary Range: $120k-$160k/yearSummary:We are seeking a Senior Actuarial Leader to provide strategic actuarial guidance and serve as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders. This role will lead complex actuarial analyses supporting reserving, forecasting, financial planning, risk evaluation, and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead commercial lines reserving, forecasting, and actuarial analyses.
- Evaluate new business, acquisitions, partnerships, and strategic initiatives.
- Monitor emerging risks, industry trends, and market developments.
- Partner with Underwriting, Legal, Reinsurance, Accounting, and executive leadership.
- Develop and enhance actuarial models, methodologies, assumptions, and reporting.
- Present complex actuarial insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Drive process improvement, automation, and analytical innovation.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives and mentor actuarial professionals.
Qualifications:- 8+ years of progressive actuarial experience with strong commercial lines reserving expertise.
- ACAS required; FCAS preferred.
- Strong knowledge of reserving, insurance analytics, financial reporting, and actuarial methodologies.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with SQL, Python, Excel, or similar analytical tools.
- Strong business acumen and ability to translate technical analysis into actionable business recommendations.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring talent and leading complex projects.
- Ability to travel up to 15% as needed.
