This is a high-visibility, hands-on role designed for a technically strong accounting professional who can independently manage complex close activities, navigate IFRS and corporate reporting requirements, and ensure financial statements are fully supported, audit-ready, and compliant with company policies and internal controls.

The role serves as a critical bridge between operational accounting, shared services, Business Controllers, FP&A, Tax, Payroll, and Corporate Reporting teams, ensuring that accounting transactions are accurately reflected within the financial statements and that balance sheet risks, reconciliation issues, and reporting exceptions are proactively identified and resolved.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with analytical thinking, operational awareness, and a continuous improvement mindset. This role is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional seeking to deepen expertise in Financial Reporting and Controllership while building toward future Financial Controller responsibilities.

  • Perform financial statement and variance analysis to identify material movements, reporting anomalies, and accounting risks

Balance Sheet Stewardship & Reconciliation Governance
  • Own and maintain the integrity, transparency, and supportability of assigned balance sheet accounts
  • Perform and oversee reconciliations, aging analysis, and review activities to ensure accounts are fully supported and audit-ready
  • Proactively identify and resolve reconciliation breaks, aging balances, and unsupported accounting positions
  • Support monthly balance sheet review processes and help drive "zero-surprise" financial reporting

IFRS Compliance & Accounting Policy Support
  • Serve as a technical accounting resource for assigned accounting areas, ensuring compliance with IFRS and company accounting policies
  • Support accounting analysis and documentation for non-routine transactions and complex accounting matters
  • Partner with Corporate Reporting, Tax, Payroll, and Shared Services teams to ensure consistent accounting treatment and policy application

Shared Services Oversight & Reporting Governance
  • Act as a key accounting reviewer and quality control partner for Record-to-Report (R2R) activities performed by Shared Services teams
  • Ensure reporting outputs, reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting validations are completed accurately and on time
  • Coordinate resolution of reporting exceptions, reconciliation issues, and accounting escalations impacting financial close and reporting quality

Audit, Controls & Compliance
  • Support internal and external audit activities, including preparation of audit schedules, reconciliations, walkthroughs, and supporting documentation
  • Maintain strong internal controls over journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting activities
  • Identify control gaps, process inefficiencies, and reporting risks, and support implementation of corrective actions
  • Support compliance with internal control requirements where applicable

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
  • Partner with FP&A, Tax, Payroll & Benefits, Treasury, Shared Services, Operations, and Corporate Reporting teams to support accurate accounting and reporting outcomes
  • Support process improvement initiatives focused on automation, standardization, reporting efficiency, and reconciliation quality
  • Participate in finance transformation initiatives and systems enhancements across accounting and reporting processes
