Reports To: Accounting Manager

Position Summary
PacSci EMC is seeking a technically strong Senior Accountant who enjoys solving complex accounting problems, researching historical transactions, and improving accounting processes. This position plays a key role in month-end close, complex balance sheet reconciliations, project and cost accounting, and continuous process improvement. The successful candidate will possess exceptional accounting fundamentals, be comfortable investigating issues to root cause, and thrive as a hands-on technical individual contributor supporting a growing manufacturing and government-contracting environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Own month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and financial analysis.
• Perform complex balance sheet reconciliations and research long-standing reconciling items to identify and resolve root causes.
• Apply strong debit/credit knowledge and T-account methodology to analyze accounting issues.
• Support project accounting, cost accounting, capital expenditures, and financial reporting.
• Partner with operations and cross-functional teams to improve accounting accuracy and establish standard work.
• Support SOX compliance, audits, and government contract accounting activities as needed.
• Identify opportunities to automate and streamline manual accounting processes.
• Utilize advanced Excel and enterprise ERP systems to analyze data and improve reporting.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience in a complex manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or similar environment.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Demonstrated mastery of accounting fundamentals including debit/credit logic and T-account analysis.
• Experience with project accounting and/or cost accounting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP or equivalent analytical functions).
• Experience with enterprise ERP systems (Oracle Fusion, SAP, Oracle EBS, JD Edwards, PeopleSoft, or similar).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Due to U.S. Government contract requirements applicable to this position, only U.S. citizens are eligible for employment in this role.

Preferred Qualifications
• CPA certification.
• Government contract accounting, FAR/CAS, or DCAA experience.
• Inventory accounting experience.
• Oracle Fusion experience.

The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 73100.00-135700.00
