ROLE OVERVIEW

Our Accounting team is seeking a Senior Accountant with strong attention to detail, ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines, and a willingness to learn and lead in a fast-paced environment. The Senior Accountant is responsible for leading key areas of the close process, performing complex accounting analyses, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This role serves as a resource to junior staff and contributes to process improvements and technical accounting matters.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.


  • Lead month-end close process of their functional area and review journal entries and reconciliations.


  • Perform complex accounting analyses and variance reviews.


  • Ability to interpret and present on variance reviews and other analytics to senior leadership.


  • Support documentation and execution of accounting procedures and internal controls.


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data.


  • Respond to financial and accounting inquiries by coordinating and reviewing the gathering and analysis of large sets of data.


  • Assist with internal and external audits by preparing schedules and providing supporting documentation.


  • Mentor and review work of Staff Accountants.


  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and recommend efficiency enhancements.


  • Support ad hoc accounting and finance projects as needed.


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.


  • 3-5 years of accounting experience, including Big Four (Big 4) public accounting experience required or equivalent experience with a public accounting firm or public company environment.


  • Experience operating under a SOX environment preferred.


  • Strong understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).


  • Advanced in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas (xlookup, sumif, etc), and PowerBI preferred).


  • Netsuite and Blackline experience preferred.


  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.


  • Ability to follow established processes and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.


  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.


  • Demonstrated willingness to learn, take direction, and develop professionally.


  • Experience reviewing work and monitoring staff.


  • Adaptability and openness to feedback.

COMPENSATION: $90,000 - $105,000/annually in addition to a competitive bonus plan
