The Senior Account Manager role sells business-transforming solutions to the world's biggest and most impactful companies, shaping the future of business. You will join a multi-functional sales team including specialists, technical architects, and project SMEs that work in a high-functioning One Team model to bring constantly evolving value to fruition. You will build and oversee a portfolio of business of tens of millions of dollars. You will provide the advocacy and scale necessary to meet customer demand and lead the evolution of our customers' business to exceed revenue and non-revenue goals.
You possess sales acumen and industry leadership that enables you to successfully build and maintain executive relationships, drive near-term and long-term revenue, and operate as a business transformation expert in the rapidly evolving AI and new technologies landscape. You will work across multiple organizations in Amazon, partners, customers, and more to architect deals and realize innovative solutions that directly contribute to consistently meeting and exceeding sales quotas.
Key job responsibilities

- Building a portfolio of business that accrues to high value for our customers and growing revenue for AWS.
- Building trusted advisor relationships with key influencers and decision-makers, specifically CxOs.
- Driving a CXO relationship strategy within the customer, supporting executive business reviews, and maintaining customer satisfaction levels.
- Working closely with internal AWS and Amazon teams (executives, solution architects, business development, marketing, partners, enterprise support, service teams and professional services), as well as external SI and ISV partners, to support the best business solution for customers.
- Operating with autonomy and discretion. A high degree of fast and quality decision making is required in customer engagement. Excellent business judgment is critical.
- Managing sales pipeline via Salesforce and facilitating all stages of a sale with urgency, transparency, and accuracy.
- Maintaining an operating knowledge of AWS's services, and translating those services into value propositions solving customers' business opportunities.

GSP Sales enables our Strategic Partners, as Customers, to reinvent themselves, accelerating new business models, revenue streams, and capabilities to disrupt/transform the industries they serve.
The GSP Sales team leads direct sales for the largest and most strategic global systems integrator and reseller/distributor customers. GSP Sales provides a full range of sales motions, engaging at senior levels to jointly transform their businesses and their go to market engagemenst with their own customers. We partner with AWS Partner Managers and Field Sales teams to support sales opportunities that take advantage of these strategies and capabilities delivering scale and evolving value.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of full sales cycle, technology sales or equivalent business development, sales engineering/consulting or equivalent experience
- Experience in sales or sales management of infrastructure or cloud technology
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of AWS services including compute, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning, and serverless technologies
- Experience selling AI/ML solutions
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment similar to a high-tech start-up
- Experience handling ambiguous or undefined challenges through strong problem solving abilities
- Experience identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing opportunities across a wide spectrum of customer engagement levels
- Experience establishing credibility quickly with senior level executives across organizations
- Experience working with systems integrators and consulting companies to achieve sales
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments, restricted stock units (RSUs), and sales incentives. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
