Minimum Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Valid state license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
• Experience working with post-acute care patients or similar populations.
• Strong knowledge of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a post-acute or rehabilitation setting.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Additional certifications related to dysphagia or cognitive rehabilitation.
• Bilingual abilities or experience working with diverse patient populations.
• Continuing education in the latest speech therapy techniques and technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to identify patient needs and challenges.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and patient goals.
• Provide direct therapy to patients using evidence-based techniques to address speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
• Document patient progress accurately and communicate updates to the healthcare team and family members.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on strategies to support communication and swallowing improvements outside of therapy sessions.
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory and organizational policies related to patient care and documentation.
