Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Licensed by the State Board of Healing Arts as a Speech Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in speech pathology or audiology.
• Current CPR training certification.
• Primary series of COVID-19 vaccine required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in patient evaluations and equipment assessments for speech/language function.
• Identify speech deficits and develop goals to enhance patient communication skills.
• Perform recertifications, resumption-of-care, and discharge procedures.
• Conduct comprehensive OASIS assessments per agency guidelines.
• Instruct patients, families, and health team members on improving communication skills.
• Recommend appropriate communication devices or aids.
• Re-evaluate patient programs to ensure maximum functional improvement and report progress to physicians.
• Collaborate with families and healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, and clinical notes.
• Keep up-to-date with trends in speech pathology practice and contribute through research and presentations.
