Job Description

Speech Language Pathologist at Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA. This position is FullTime and will work 8-hour, Day shifts.

Evaluates, plans, directs and administers medically prescribed speech/language pathology programs in the hospital to restore function and prevent disability following disease or injury. Assists patient to reach his/her maximum performance and assume a place in society while learning to live within the limits of his/her capabilities. Performs administrative duties and participates in department Performance Improvement, Infection Control, Safety and Education programs. The Staff Speech and Language Therapist may be assigned to orient staff and students and to assume the duties and responsibilities of the supervisor in the absence of that individual.

Required Qualifications:
  • Coursework/Training and Graduate of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board training program.
  • Upon hire: California Speech Language Pathologist License
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Upon hire: California Children's Services (CCS) paneled
  • Experience in acute care, outpatient, adult or pediatrics.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
