Job Description:

School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Full Time | Bellevue, WA

Ampersand Therapy is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time, short-term assignment in Bellevue, Washington. This itinerant role supports students with communication disorders from preschool through 12th grade in general and special education settings. Job Highlights:

  • Position: Itinerant Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Schedule: 37.5 hours per week
  • Setting: In-person, school-based; preschool through 12th grade
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Assignment Length: Approximately 8 weeks


Responsibilities:
  • Screen and evaluate students with communication needs, establish a caseload, and provide speech-language therapy, including classroom-based services.
  • Develop appropriate IEP goals and objectives and monitor student progress.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, families, evaluation teams, and other school staff to support students across settings.
  • Plan services and activities suited to students' developmental levels and functional communication needs.
  • Follow applicable school policies, procedures, and legal requirements.


Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Washington Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certificate in Speech-Language Pathology, or eligibility for immediate issuance.
  • Experience working with students with mild, moderate, and severe disabilities.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment preferred.
