Full Job Description
Position Summary:

The Speech Language Pathologist specializing in Acute-Care:
  • Works under the direct supervision of the Team Coordinator and/or Clinical Specialist, and leadership of the Rehab Therapy Services Team Leader and/or Inpatient or Outpatient Manager
  • Uses objective evaluation techniques to assess the Speech, Language, Cognitive, Voice and Swallowing limitations and medical condition of patients
  • Prescribes and implements a treatment program which is designed to return patients to their maximum level of function.
  • Work collaboratively with all members of the multidisciplinary health care team to maximize patient and team outcomes
  • Promotes improvement in service, department and hospital systems to benefit patient care.
  • Incorporates and operationalizes the goals and objectives of the organization

Education:
  • Completion of a Master's Degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited academic program

Required Licensure, Certification, Etc.:
  • Licensure from State of Maryland, ASHA certification, Current AHA Health Care Provider CPR certification.
  • Current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR required.

Shift: Full-time 40 hours per week

Experience:
  • Completion of Speech Language Pathology Clinical Fellowship
  • Experience in Hospital acute care setting

Salary Range: Minimum $37.02 /hour - Maximum $61.11/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
