Full Job Description
Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fl, is seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist with a passion for neonatal medicine to join our premier, high-acuityLevel IV NICU as part of an inaugural Neonatal Hospitalist Program. This newly established role offers a unique opportunity to practice in a high-acuity neonatal environment while partnering closely with an experienced team of neonatologists, fellows, nurses, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, nutritionists, and other interdisciplinary specialists.

As one of the largest and most advanced neonatal programs in the region, our 97-bed Level IV NICU serves as a major referral center for complex neonatal care and functions as thehighest-acuity center within our regional NICU network. As a member of the team, you will have the opportunity to care for medically complex newborns, participate in academic teaching, and help shape the continued evolution of an innovative model of neonatal care delivery.

Clinical Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive care for neonates within a Level IV NICU.
  • Manage a dedicated NICU cohort in partnership with a supervising neonatologist.
  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Participate in patient care handoffs and team-based care coordination.
  • Engage in educational activities and bedside teaching with learners on diverse trainingprograms.


Qualifications
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Pediatrics.
  • Experience as a pediatric hospitalist, neonatal hospitalist, pediatric intensivist, or in another inpatient pediatric care roleis preferred.
  • Interest in neonatal medicine and caring for patients in a high-acuity NICU environment.
  • Ability to practice independently while collaborating closely with neonatology colleagues.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Candidates with prior neonatal experience, neonatal fellowship training, or delivery room experience are encouraged to apply; however, completion of a Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine fellowship and neonatology board certification are not required.
