Description:Trinity Health Of New England is looking for an experienced
Inpatient Speech Language Pathologist to join our
Inpatient Rehab at Mt Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital.The
Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for performing evaluations, direct patient treatment, and documentation. This position is a broad opportunity for all aspects of Speech Language Pathology in a neuro specialized department including cognition, swallowing and language. Primarily treating brain injury and stroke as well as tracheostomy management and MBS training opportunities. SLP identifies appropriate long and short term goals and develops treatment plans to respond to those goals.
What will you do: - Provides diagnostic and therapeutic services to individuals with a wide variety of communication and swallowing disabilities to help patients achieve a maximum level of functional independence.
- Provides professional interaction with patients, family members, interdisciplinary team members, and other staff members and colleagues Provides education and counseling to clients, families and staff.
- Documents patient care appropriately in the medical record to comply with the policies and procedures of the department,
- Demonstrates problem solving, conflict resolution, and positive communication through teamwork.
Minimum Qualifications:- Education: Graduate of an accredited program with a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- State of CT Massachusetts Speech-Language Pathology Licensure
