POSITION SUMMARYAs a Speech-Language Pathologist, you deliver evidence-based speech and language services to students K-12 with language disorders, articulation delays, fluency concerns, voice disorders, and complex communication needs. You collaborate with special education teams, general educators, parents, and related services providers to create inclusive, data-driven intervention plans.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations using standardized and dynamic assessment tools to determine eligibility for services under IDEA, Section 504, and state standards
>- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and 504 plans with measurable, functional, and academically relevant goals
>- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services across language, articulation, fluency, voice, and social communication domains
>- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of student progress, treatment effectiveness, and session data
>- Collaborate with special education, general education, and administrative staff to embed language-learning strategies across the school day
>- Participate actively in IEP/ARD meetings and contribute clinical expertise to placement, progress monitoring, and eligibility decisions
>- Maintain ASHA-compliant caseloads and ensure adherence to state and federal special education regulations

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from a CAPCSD-accredited program
>- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
>- Valid, unrestricted state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
>- Proof of immunization status and background check clearance per school district requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience in school-based SLP (2+ years preferred, new grads welcome)
>- Knowledge of RTI/MTSS frameworks
>- Experience with AAC and assistive technology
>- Bilingual fluency (Spanish or other languages highly valued)
>- Experience with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and complex communication needs
