Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients for swallowing disorders and cognitive impairments using evidence-based techniques
  • Set treatment goals and create individualized Speech Pathology programs after thorough clinical assessment
  • Deliver rehabilitative services following medical orders as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Engage in clinical conferences to discuss and optimize the care plan for patients
  • Provide one-on-one individualized treatment sessions focused on functional improvement

Full Job Description
  • Evaluate and treat patients for swallowing disorders and communication/ cognitive impairments, utilizing a variety of evidenced based therapeutic techniques
  • Establish treatment goals, as well as develop and implement appropriate Speech Pathology treatment programs based upon a full clinical evaluation
  • Provide rehabilitative services to patients under specific medical orders as part of a coordinated team.
  • Participate in clinical conferences to share and coordinate the plan of care for patients
  • Treat residents one on one so each patient gets individualized attention through private treatment sessions with a functional based treatment approach

Position requirements:
