The IT Change Manager plays a key role in ensuring IT changes are delivered in a controlled, reliable, and well-governed manner across applications and infrastructure. This position provides end-to-end oversight of the IT change lifecycle, helping the organization balance innovation, operational stability, and risk. As the chair of the Change Advisory Board (CAB), the IT Change Manager collaborates with cross-functional technology and business teams to assess, prioritize, and approve changes in alignment with ITIL best practices. The role works closely with stakeholders across IT, business units, and audit functions to minimize disruption, support compliance, and continuously improve change management practices.
THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL
- Oversee enterprise IT change and release management across applications and infrastructure, ensuring stable, reliable, and seamless delivery
- Chair and facilitate the Change Advisory Board (CAB), ensuring timely review, risk assessment, approval, and documentation of change requests
- Maintain CAB governance, including charter, roles, responsibilities, workflows, and operating procedures aligned with ITIL best practices
- Evaluate, prioritize, and categorize all IT change requests in coordination with EPMO and cross-functional stakeholders
Manage end-to-end change workflows, including submission, review, approval, scheduling, communication, and post-implementation validation - Develop and maintain consolidated change schedules, calendars, dashboards, and reporting; identify and resolve scheduling conflicts
- Ensure effective communication of upcoming changes, timelines, risks, and impacts to all impacted teams and business units
- Serve as the central point of contact and escalation for all IT changes
- Ensure CAB representation across IT domains (Infrastructure, Security, DevOps, Applications) and coordinate onboarding and training
- Review change requests for completeness, accuracy, approvals, and audit readiness
- Support Incident and Problem processes, including participation in root cause analysis for change-related incidents
- Identify process gaps and drive continuous improvement through corrective actions and standardization
- Maintain accurate change documentation, records, metrics, and quality indicators
- Ensure compliance with audit, risk, and regulatory requirements; support internal and external audits
- Train and coach IT staff and stakeholders on change management processes and best practices
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR- University Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 5-7 years of IT Change and Release Management experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of principles and methodologies of IT Change Management.
- Proven experience implementing or managing a CAB in a mid-to-large enterprise environment.
- Experience with change management and release management tools such as Ivanti HEAT, Azure DevOps or similar.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to plan and maintain schedules.
- Highly adaptable in changing environments.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Ability to document and enforce governance processes across diverse technical teams.
- Experience working in regulated or audit-sensitive environments is a plus.
- Bilingual French/English would be considered an asset.
