Video Annotation Lead QA Lead

Role Summary

This role will own the endtoend manual video annotation workflow The person will interpret AWSNBCU annotation guidelines manage annotator onboarding and calibration oversee QA resolve edge cases track throughput and provide status quality reporting

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the manual video annotation workstream across assigned asset batches
  • Review AWSNBCU annotation guidelines and translate them into clear instructions for annotators
  • Manage annotator calibration sessions and ensure consistency in labeling approach
  • Oversee annotation activities such as temporal segmentation actionevent tagging scene metadata tagging captionsnarratives and bounding boxpolygon annotation where required
  • Perform QA review of completed annotations
  • Manage rework for incorrect incomplete or inconsistent labels
  • Resolve ambiguous annotation cases and maintain an issue log for AWSNBCU clarification
  • Track throughput quality scores rework volume and delivery status
  • Provide weekly status and quality reporting to stakeholders
  • Ensure work is performed within approved AWSNBCU security and access guidelines

Required Skills
  • Experience leading data annotation content QA media operations metadata operations or labeling teams
  • Strong understanding of video assets timecodes clips captions scenes and metadata
