Job Title: Specialist, ProcurementJob Location: Mirabel, QC or Trenton, ONJob Code: 038390Job Schedule: Day ShiftCompensation Range: Between $57,500 - $107,500 CDN annuallyProcurement Specialist will be to leverage your expertise to support the planning and execution of goods and services acquisition activities, under the supervision of the Procurement Manager. By collaborating with various stakeholders, you will help interpret and optimize operational processes related to procurement, improve existing systems and practices, and support the achievement of objectives related to projects that have a direct impact on service performance.
Essential Functions: - Ensure thorough monitoring of orders, from their issuance to their full execution, ensuring compliance with deadlines and contractual requirements.
- Conduct negotiations with suppliers and analyze their operations to identify factors influencing prices, while seeking the best overall cost considering quality, reliability, and assessing supplier's ability to meet delivery requirements.
- Review proposals, negotiate prices, recommend or select suppliers, analyze market trends, and keep required documentation up to date.
- Prepares request for proposals (RFPs) and tender documents, as required.
- Negotiate contractual terms in accordance with the company's policies and guidelines.
- Manage claims with suppliers regarding damages, refusals, losses, returns of equipment, excess quantities, cancellations, or technical changes.
- Ensure compliance with ethical standards, laws, and applicable regulations, particularly regarding anti-corruption measures.
- May be called upon to manage projects under general supervision
- Participate in continuous improvement projects including procedures and processes.
- Proactively identify problem-solving skills to identify, analyze, and resolve issues that arise in daily operations.
- Manage urgent orders related to grounded aircraft (AOG), including coordinating transportation and logistics, even outside normal hours
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. Master's degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. If no degree is required, a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience is required.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement.
- Practical knowledge of project management, an asset.
- Experience in aircraft service support, an asset.
- Able to interpret technical drawings, IPCs, and other technical documents, an asset.
- Good knowledge of the supply chain for commercial aerospace operations.
- Experience with the Airbus A310 aircraft or other similar commercial aircraft is an asset
- Experience with MRP software, preferably SAP or RAMCO, is an asset
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Essential Bilingualism (French and English).
Eligibility Criteria: - Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance;
- Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
