Specialist IS Architect

Duties: Architect, craft, implement, maintain, and improve integrations with Controlled Docs (Veeva Vault Quality Document Management System) and other Amgen systems; Serve as technical lead on any new integration efforts and be responsible for day to day and project deliverables for system and data integrations; Facilitate design and technical discussions, balancing differing opinions and influencing decisions; Elicit and refine business requirements for business processes; Design, prototype, document, configure, test, and implement Controlled Docs configurations to support business requirements and User Stories; Design and execute validation test scripts including Installation Qualification and Qualification Testing protocols; Write Software Development Life Cycle documentation including to build and maintain technical documentation including Standard Operating Procedures, design and architectural specification documents, operational drawings, and technical manuals; and Ensure solution alignment with Amgen Information Systems strategy, standards, and operating procedures to maintain solution in a validated state. May telecommute.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field & 5 years of experience in the job offered or a computer related occupation. Position requires 5 years of experience in the following:

1. Utilizing technologies including Cognos, Tableau, AWS, Oracle, SQL, Redshift, or Databricks to design architecture for systems including data warehousing solutions, business intelligence platforms, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration solutions;

2. Data integration and SQL;

3. Agile Product teams and DevOps framework including Jenkins, JIRA, or GitHub;

4. Information Systems change control process and building, validating, and supporting Good Practice systems; and

5. Technical writing and performing root cause analysis of problems.

Job type: Full-Time position. The annual salary range for this position in the U.S. is $144,278.00 - $178,436.00 per year. Also, this position offers stock, retirement, medical, life and disability insurance and eligibility for an annual bonus or for sales roles, other incentive compensation. The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
