Job DescriptionWe are looking for a strong and versatile communications professional to serve as
Specialist, Executive and Colleague Communications. This individual will play an important role in developing and implementing multimedia campaigns to help keep American Express colleagues well-informed of enterprise priorities, business performance, and key initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a strong writer and designer with creative instincts, strong attention to detail, a problem-solving mindset, and a collaborative approach. They will work closely with stakeholders across functions and markets to create clear, compelling, and visually engaging communications that inspire engagement, foster learning, and drive action.
Responsibilities- Write, design, and edit communications for select topics and audiences across key colleague channels, including the company intranet, Slack, and digital screens.
- Develop engaging communications that build awareness of learning opportunities and help colleagues strengthen critical skills, embrace new ways of working, and drive innovation.
- Support communications for high-visibility enterprise programs and initiatives, including company announcements, awards, colleague learning, and emerging enterprise priorities.
- Identify creative approaches to storytelling design, and multimedia content that increase the relevance and impact of colleague communications.
- Work with internal teams to manage the logistics and presentations for colleague events, such as town halls, forums, new program launch events, and onsite engagement activities.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:- 3-5 years of experience in corporate communications, executive communications, colleague communications, public relations, or a related field.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into clear, compelling communications for a range of audiences.
- Strong design skills, with experience using Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Experience developing content across a range of formats and channels, including digital, video, and live or virtual experiences.
- Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively across teams, functions, and levels.
- Sound judgment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively in a complex, fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience with executive, colleague, and/or HR communications.
