Full Job Description
The Role:

The CI Specialist is responsible for developing, validating and implementing site Continuous Improvement initiatives aligning with the Mother Parker's enterprise, with primary focus in manufacturing and secondary inclusion of other functions with the imperative to improve cost competitiveness sustaining the cost reduction through project pipeline replenishment. In addition to coordinating the implementation of the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program, the CI specialist role provides problem-solving leadership to support process improvement activities, collaborates with the Master Roasting/Sensory Quality Team, and contributes to the Tea/Coffee Excellence Program. Furthermore, the CI specialist works closely.

  • Partner with plant leadership to identify, prioritize, and deliver CI initiatives across manufacturing and support functions.
  • Lead value stream mapping, Kaizen events, 5S, Visual Factory, and other continuous improvement programs.
  • Drive improvements in safety, quality, cost, delivery, productivity, and employee engagement (SQCDPE).
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Product Development, and Finance to improve yields, reduce waste, and optimize processes.
  • Track, measure, and report project results, ensuring financial benefits and long-term sustainability.
  • Develop and coach leaders and frontline teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision making.
  • Identify and implement process, system, and technology improvements to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.
  • Benchmark best practices and support the standardization of continuous improvement processes across the organization.


What you bring to the role:
  • B.S. in Industrial Eng., Mechanical Eng., Operations Research, Engineering Management with 5+ years of work experience.
  • Certifications: Six Sigma Certification is an asset.
  • Innate ability to fully comprehend new processes and systems quickly, with high attention to detail.
  • Industrial cost control/reporting/analysis experience in high volume manufacturing environments.
  • Advance-level MS Office skills (primarily Excel, Power Point, and Visio).
  • Outstanding critical thinking and communication skills.
  • Leadership/management experience and/or end-to-end project management experience.
  • Experience with industry-standard problem solving methodologies (LSS, DMAIC).
  • Experience with any/all of the following: Minitab, Sigma XL, NWA and be able to extract data from SQL database to analyze in SPC software.
  • Excellent communication skills as well as a holistic understanding of manufacturing operations.
  • Experienced team leader and trainer.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively implement Continuous Improvement resulting in positive change.
