Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-employment and regulatory medical examinations including labs and safety tests.
  • Conduct DOT exams for compliance.
  • Manage substance abuse testing protocols.
  • Facilitate patient referrals to medical specialists as needed.
  • Evaluate and document occupational health injuries and illnesses.
  • Perform health evaluations for return-to-work clearances.
  • Maintain confidential medical records in an electronic format.
  • Serve as a wellness resource and promote health education.
  • Assist with managing medical absences to ensure timely returns to work.
  • Counsel employees on medical issues related to workplace safety.
  • Promote wellness initiatives and working relationships with health community resources.
  • Ensure compliance with medical regulations at state and federal levels.
  • Respond to medical emergencies on-site if required.
  • Take a leadership role in aligning team vision with organizational goals.

Full Job Description
Specialist, Advanced Practitioner will provide, engage and influence worker health protection and worker wellbeing for all Phillips 66 Business.

This position will be based onsite at our Borger, TX Refinery location.

What You'll Do
  • Performing pre-employment and regulatory medical examinations, including interpreting labs, EKGs, PFTs, and audiograms.
  • Conducting DOT exams.
  • Conducting Substance Abuse Testing.
  • Assisting with patient referrals to primary care physicians or specialists, as indicated.
  • Appropriately evaluating, treating, and documenting occupational and limited non-occupational health injuries and illnesses.
  • Performing return to work evaluations, clearances, and fitness for duty examinations.
  • Maintaining confidential personnel medical records using an electronic medical record.
  • Serving as a resource to employees through health education and assistance with health promotions.
  • Assisting with management of medical absences to ensure timely return-to-work.
  • Promoting employee wellness and fitness.
  • Counseling employees regarding safety sensitive medical issues.
  • Promoting working relationships with community health and safety resources.
  • Ensuring compliance with State and Federal regulatory requirements as they pertain to medical issues.
  • Responding to on-site medical emergencies, as deemed necessary.
  • Taking on the leadership role that ensures the goals and the vision of Phillips 66 are relayed to the team, employees are recognized when warranted, and positive team morale is established and maintained.


What You'll Bring - Required
  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • Master's degree in nursing (APRN) or in PA studies
  • 2 or more years of direct occupational experience
  • 1 or more years of adult primary care or urgent care practice
  • 1 or more years of experience with regulations affecting Occupational & Environmental Health and Safety
  • Advanced practice provider training from an accredited US Program - Physician's Assistant or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (certified APRN OR certified PA-C)
  • Current licensure in state of practice (Texas)

  • Ability to develop and express ideas and opinions concisely


Compensation Range

This position has a base salary range of $125,100 - $152,900.
