Full Job Description
We are looking for a motivated actuary to join the North America Excess Casualty Insurance Pricing & Analytics team. You will develop and refine pricing models, conduct in-depth analyses, and deliver actionable insights and tools to support our excess casualty actuaries and underwriters.

What will your essential responsibilities include?
  • Support the development, testing, calibration, and maintenance of pricing models and complex rating algorithms, including studies on pricing parameters, change impacts, and documentation.
  • Pricing tool data collection oversight, analysis, quality checking, and reporting.
  • Analyze internal and competitor data to support strategy development and financial planning.
  • Utilize actuarial pricing tools and expertise to produce accurate, timely, and comprehensive account-specific pricing guidance. Collaborate with actuaries and communicate effectively with underwriters.
  • Micro portfolio management activities including selection of base loss ratio for business planning, profitability studies & deep dives, dashboard maintenance, and post-event loss evaluations.
  • Engage closely with teams for pricing accuracy and operational alignment including but not limited to: Governance, CUO, Underwriting, Reserving, Claims, Models & Analytics, IT, Compliance, etc.
  • Guide less experienced actuarial colleagues, take initiative in team projects, and actively participate in developing team practices and strategies.
  • Provide various trainings to underwriters, ensuring they are equipped to make informed decisions.
  • Adhere to and comply with regulatory standards and organizational policies.


You will report to a qualified actuary on the Insurance North America Excess Casualty Pricing and Analytics team.

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Applied Math, Statistics, or related field
  • Qualification level - Qualified or near qualified actuary through the Casualty Actuarial Society
  • Material experience in Property & Casualty actuarial pricing or reserving
  • Motivated, strategic thinker with a robust collaborative work ethic and a focus on quality and integrity
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Legally authorized to work in the posting country
