Job Description

The Special Operations Support Policy Staff Officer II will provide critical support to the HUMINT & Sensitive Activities Directorate within the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Intelligence and Security (OUSW(I&S)). This role involves supporting the oversight, management, and development of policies related to sensitive activities and special operations.

Responsibilities:

Policy Development and Coordination:
  • Support the oversight, management, and coordination of complex sensitive programs and activities.
  • Assist in planning, directing, and coordinating the development of policies related to sensitive activities and support for issues requiring short notice information and decision support for DoW senior leaders.

Research and Analysis:
  • Gather, synthesize, and prepare background information and read-ahead materials for issues and engagements regarding intelligence and intelligence-related policy, program, and activity support to special operations, including counterterrorism and irregular warfare.

Strategy and Policy Implementation:
  • Support the development, review, and revision of strategy and policy direction for the coordination, assessment, reporting, and conduct of sensitive activities.
  • Assist in implementing solutions that aid in decision-making processes related to special operations.
