Full Job Description
In this critical role, you will lead the installation's Child and Youth Program (CYP) Inclusion and Special Needs Program. You will serve as a core member of the Multidisciplinary Inclusion Action Team (M-IAT), conduct non-clinical assessments, and spend at least 50% of your time directly in classroom environments coaching and mentoring team members. By connecting with the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP), School Liaisons, and community resources, you will build a cohesive support system that integrates care, intervention, and education seamlessly.

Salary Range is $78,098 - $100,229 based on experience.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION
• U.S. Citizenship
• Education: Meet OPM qualification requirements for the GS-1701 occupational series (requiring a bachelor's degree in education or a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, such as early childhood development or child development).
•RECRUITMENT KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA's):
• Professional knowledge of the principles, theories, concepts, and practices of early childhood development, youth development, childcare regulations encompassing infant through school-age, youth and teens, and child and youth development theories, methodology, and practices.
• Professional knowledge of early intervention, special education, early childhood inclusion, and evidence-based and trauma-informed practices that support inclusive environments related to birth to 18-year-olds.
• Skill in the practice-based coaching model, facilitating training with adult learners, providing feedback, and adjusting training pace and activities to meet diverse learning needs.
• Professional experience in observation and assessment methods and implementation science.
• Skill in conducting functional behavioral assessments and collaborating with a team to develop, implement, and monitor Inclusion or Behavior Support Plans (ISP/BSP).
• Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing.
