Special Education Teacher | Easton, MD | Immediate Need!

HealthPRO Pediatrics is hiring a Full-Time Special Education Teacher for a school-based position in Easton, MD, starting in August.
Position Details
  • Full-Time | W-2 | In-Person
  • Pay: $42-$46/hour, based on experience
  • Caseload: Approximately 10-15 students across elementary and high school
  • Students are served primarily in the general education setting during standard school hours
  • Disability categories may include OHI, Specific Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Speech or Language Impairments
  • Active Special Education Teacher certification required

Join a collaborative, pediatric-focused team supporting students across multiple grade levels and helping them succeed in the classroom and beyond.
Responsibilities

  • Work with students who have a wide range of learning, mental, emotional, and physical disabilities.
  • Adapt general education lessons and teach various subjects, such as reading, writing, and math, to students with mild and moderate disabilities.
  • Teach skills, such as literacy and communication techniques, to students with severe disabilities.
  • Consult and collaborate with School staff and families in regards to students' educational deficits
  • Conduct initial screenings as well as comprehensive evaluations Participate in the IEP process in developing present levels of performance, goals and objectives, and treatment recommendations for students qualifying for Special Education services
  • Provide Special Education sessions through the use of current best practices based on prescribed services in the IEP
  • Maintain all documentation required by the district including, but not limited to, notes, monthly summaries, and annual IEP's
