Position Overview- Provide specialized instruction and individualized support to elementary students with diverse learning and behavioral needs in a self-contained special education classroom.
- Assess student needs, develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and monitor student progress to evaluate and adjust instructional outcomes.
- Implement appropriate behavioral strategies and approved crisis-intervention techniques, including physical restraint when necessary and permitted.
- Collaborate with instructional aides, families, related-service providers, and school staff to support student learning, development, and individualized goals.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Special Education preferred
- Valid Arizona Special Education Cross-Categorical Teacher Certification, or Special Education Certification with an ID/MR or ED special area
- Active Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Current NCI and CPR/First Aid Certifications
- Experience developing and implementing IEPs and supporting students with diverse learning and behavioral needs
