About the Role
Hello, Special Education Teachers! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a full-time Collaborative Special Education Teacher for a high school setting in Anniston, AL. In this role, you'll support students with disabilities within collaborative and inclusive educational settings while implementing specialized instruction, monitoring IEP goals, and working closely with general education teachers and multidisciplinary teams.

What You'll Do
  • Provide specialized, IEP-driven instruction and support for students in Grades 9-12
  • Collaborate and co-teach with general education teachers in inclusive classroom settings
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals, accommodations, and modifications
  • Assess student progress and maintain accurate data and compliance documentation
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families
  • Differentiate instruction to support individual student needs
  • Support students with academic, behavioral, and transition-related goals
  • Ensure compliance with state and district guidelines for IEP development, timelines, and implementation


What We're Looking For
  • Hold or be eligible for Alabama Collaborative Special Education Teacher 6-12 certification
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field from an accredited institution
  • Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • School-based experience preferred, not required
