Special Education Teacher

Up to $40-50/hour | Conyers, GA | Full-Time Hours | [redacted] School Year | Full-time contract position supporting students with diverse learning needs in a collaborative, structured school environment.

Position Details:
  • Caseload within Rockdale County Public Schools
  • Full Time - Starting July 2026
  • 1.0 FTE, M-F

What You'll Do
  • Provide specialized, IEP-driven instruction across academic, behavioral, and functional domains
  • Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with student IEP goals and individual needs
  • Assess student progress and maintain accurate data, reports, and compliance documentation
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to support access to the general curriculum
  • Create and maintain a structured, supportive learning environment that promotes positive behavior
  • Support students with daily living skills, including toileting, feeding, mobility, and health-related needs as required
  • Ensure compliance with state and district guidelines for IEP development, timelines, and implementation

What We're Looking For
  • Hold appropriate teaching certification in Special Education
  • Must have already passed the GACE test in Special Ed Curriculum
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education from an accredited institution
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • School-based experience preferred, not required
