About the RoleHello Special Education Teachers! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Mild/Moderate Special Education Teacher to support students in Centennial, CO. In this role, you'll provide individualized instruction, implement IEPs, and create a structured, inclusive learning environment that helps students succeed. You'll work collaboratively with school staff and a supportive, therapist-run team.
What You'll Do- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs
- Provide specialized instruction across academic subjects
- Support students with mild to moderate disabilities
- Manage classroom behavior and create a structured, supportive environment
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Write progress reports and maintain compliant documentation
- Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies for diverse learning needs
What We're Looking For- Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license with Special Education endorsement
- Experience working with K-8 students preferred
- Strong classroom management and collaboration skills
- School-based experience preferred, not required
