The qualified applicant will support the Space Warfighting Analysis Center (SWAC) Force Design Integration Office (FDIO) in Colorado Springs, CO, with an expectation of limited travel based on emerging priorities. The applicant will conduct technical analysis by assessing, documenting, and communicating warfighter dependencies on space architectures and operations for SWAC's Spectrum Warfare Program (SWP). The candidate will collaborate with SWAC subject matter experts to ensure effective representation of SWP Force Designs to stakeholders to include Space Force leadership, Department of Defense leadership, and Congressional committees. The applicant must have technical depth and breadth of space capabilities and systems engineering with an understanding of complex analysis and industry capabilities and best practices.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Interface with DAF, USSF, and USSF Field Command technical experts and staffs
  • Examine future warfighting concepts and mission areas to assess and document interdependencies
  • Enhance SWAC Program and Integration Layer analysis
  • Interface with SWAC Program technical experts and DoD analytic partners
  • Articulate technical space system design recommendations and trade space decisions based on warfighting impact
  • Respond to quick-turnaround taskers requiring document generation and technical analysis
  • Support SWAC leadership in day-to-day activity planning and execution
  • Support high-visibility space-based capability studies
  • Support high-visibility capability efforts


Required Skills:
  • TS/SCI w/Poly (have an existing poly or be willing to submit to one)
  • STEM Bachelor's degree
  • Strong technical background
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • 8+ years space operations or space acquisition experience
  • Experience with satellite communication systems, satellite navigation systems, and/or satellite ground infrastructure
  • Experience with space design and/or architecture development
  • Experience with and knowledge of DoD, IC, and commercial satellite systems
  • Experience working in SCI/SAP environment


Desired Skills:
  • STEM Master's degree
  • 4+ years Joint operational planning, integration, or requirements development experience
  • 5+ years of commercial/civil space experience
  • Experience in a US Government staff position
  • Experience with technical writing and communication


Security Clearance Requirement:
An active Top Secret SCI security clearance is required for this position.

Salary Range: $125,100.00 - $225,200.00
