Role PurposeWe are seeking an experienced
Production Operations Manager to lead and manage production operations at our
Winston-Salem cable facility. This role is responsible for leading and managing production operations at the Winston-Salem cable facility.
The ideal candidate is a strong people leader who can drive results, manage change, improve processes, and build alignment across operations, planning, engineering, and product teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead production operations for the Winston-Salem cable facility, with full accountability for safety, quality, cost, delivery, and team performance.
- Drive manufacturing performance and achieve production targets.
- Manage staffing, labor productivity, and departmental budget.
- Align plant capacity with customer demand and support SIOP.
- Partner with planning to meet on-time manufacturing and delivery goals.
- Lead changeovers, equipment upgrades, maintenance, and new product introductions.
- Drive continuous improvement and OEE gains through lean initiatives.
- Lead, develop, and hold teams accountable for safety, quality, and results.
- Communicate operational priorities and long-term goals across the organization.
Experiences/Education - Required- Bachelor of Science (technical or business degree preferred).
- 7+ years' experience in manufacturing with a proven track record of leadership progression.
- Highly motivated, results-oriented, and with a high commitment level to the business and department.
- Energetic, effective under pressure, and can respond positively to constructive feedback.
- Direct people management experience (for both salaried and non-exempt employees).
- Demonstrated people leadership skills of conflict resolution, coaching, active listening, and employee effectiveness.
- Experience and accountability for developing, implementing, and driving results through critical manufacturing metrics (including safety, quality, cost, delivery, and morale).
- Certified Six Sigma DMAIC Green Belt and/or demonstrated Lean capabilities.
- Experience managing the talent development strategy for the department, including programs to attract, develop, and retain key talent.
Experiences/Education - Desired- MBA or advanced technical graduate degree
- Experience and competence of innovation and new product development and delivery; has participated or led a project team responsible for developing and/or launching a new product into manufacturing.
- Has participated or led a cross-functional team in manufacturing environment responsible to deliver key improvement initiatives or cost reduction programs.
- Experience collaborating, interfacing, and communicating upward and outward.
This position does not support immigration sponsorship. The range for this position is $120,797.00 - $166,096.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
