Responsibilities

  • Evaluate new AI tools and data to enhance workflows
  • Implement new tools while liaising between IT, Data Science, and team members
  • Identify AI use cases for sourcing, diligence, and portfolio support
  • Assist in early screenings of investment themes and opportunities
  • Develop systems to monitor targets and sectors
  • Support evaluation and prioritization of inbound opportunities
  • Conduct deep dive analysis on industry sectors and market trends
  • Support diligence efforts including strategic analysis and mapping
  • Leverage network for warm introductions to targets
  • Maintain and report on Affinity CRM data
  • Ownership of banker network collaborations and conference coordination
  • Track executive movements using various platforms
  • Maintain the advisor database with the Talent team
  • Manage the target pipeline for the vertical
  • Participate in vertical meetings for updates and tracking
  • Monitor competitive deal activity
  • Share best practices across business units
  • Update and manage the Global PE Marketing Compendium
  • Create vertical-specific pitch decks and microsites
  • Plan and support logistics for executive events

Full Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This individual will be responsible for the following areas for the Business Services and Consumer, Technology, or Industrials vertical(s):

  • Technology and Data

    • Evaluate new AI tools and data to improve workflows (first looks, research, screening)

    • Help to implement new tools and act as an intermediary between IT, Data Science and the PE team members

    • Identify internal use cases for AI across sourcing, diligence and portfolio support

  • Deal Team Support

    • Assist with early screenings of investment themes and investment opportunities

    • Develop systems and screening tools to monitor targets and subsectors

    • Support inbound opportunity evaluation and prioritization

  • Research

    • Complete deep dive analysis on industry sectors and market trends

    • Assist deal team with diligence efforts including strategic analysis, market mapping and expert network calls

    • Synthesize findings for internal updates and diligence streams

  • Relationship Management

    • Leverage BCP network and tools to find warm introductions to targets

    • Maintain Affinity CRM (entry of interactions, pipelines & trackers, reporting)

    • Own map of banker network/intermediaries and work directly with coverage officers to coordinate on conferences and guide inbound investment opportunities

    • Track executive movements via LinkedIn, Expert Networks and other sources

    • Maintain advisor/river guides database in collaboration with Talent team

  • Pipeline / Deal Database

    • Maintain target pipeline for vertical

    • Participate in vertical meetings to update changes and track next steps

    • Ensure meeting/target follow-up activity completed

    • Monitor and track competitive deal activity/sponsor portfolios

    • Collaborate and share best practices across business units (pipeline, networks, tools)

  • Marketing Support and Event Logistics

    • Update and own Global PE Marketing Compendium

    • Create and capture vertical specific pitch decks, update vertical microsites

    • Help plan/host executive events for vertical (logistics, implementation, attendee management)

    • Provide on-site event support for conferences and executive events

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Interest and experience in AI use cases for business

  • Outstanding Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Prior experience with CRM tool and private company origination platforms (e.g., Pitchbook, Grata) preferred

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Comfort with engaging a broad group of internal and external stakeholders, executive presence

  • Superior communication, both written and verbal

  • Self-starter with strong project management and follow-through skills

  • Detail-oriented, conscientious and energetic professional with ability to think creatively and independently

  • Familiarity with finance/private equity space

DESIRED BACKGROUND / EDUCATION

  • 1 to 2 years9 experience in business development or sales operations preferred

  • Four-year college degree with a strong academic background

Compensation:

Expected Annual Base Salary $75,000 - $90,000

Actual base salary will be determined by a wide range of factors including but not limited to role, function, level, experience, qualifications and geographic location. In addition to a competitive base salary, this position may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based upon factors such as individual impact, team and firm performance.
