About the JobThe Sourcing Manager will impact the supply availability by working with sales, demand planners, and vendors to optimize supply and pricing across the product catalog.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with Head of Procurement and Lead Process of negotiating best prices and conditions with assigned suppliers based on the established category strategies managed by category management and based on the consolidated forecast provided by demand planning.
- Collate and report metrics on product availability and savings
- Track secondary suppliers for critical products and pursue alternatives where necessary
- Proactively manage and develop supplier relationships in collaboration with category management.
- Create, fine tune, publish, and communicate sourcing procedures.
- Lead periodic business reviews with suppliers and stakeholders and being the main point of commercial contact for selected suppliers.
- Lead team in researching price/condition, and structural performance/communication issues with external suppliers.
- Lead the team in researching price/condition discrepancies reported by Purchasing and pursuing short- and long-term solutions.
- Act as sourcing business partner to internal stakeholders by leading the supplier selection for new product development, supporting cross-functional groups in executing change controls and by providing expert knowledge on approaching suppliers.
- Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications- 4-5 years of related experience
- User-level knowledge of major ERP/MRP systems (Navision, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- CPIM and/or APICS certification is preferred
- Experience in Pharmaceutical or Medical Device industy preferred
- A team player with good interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
- Flexibility to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive mindset
- Ability to lead, motivate, and engage others to ensure timely delivery of product
- Strong knowledge of relevant topics within QA, QC, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain as required to efficiently lead cross-functional teams
- Comfortable with negotiation
- A quick learner and team player, exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Discipline to follow policies, processes, and procedures
- Capability to communicate with different stakeholder levels
