WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

New Product Launch & Sourcing Strategy
  • Lead end-to-end sourcing for new product launches, including supplier selection, cost modeling, and capacity planning.
  • Develop strategies that optimize speed to market, total value, and long-term scalability.
  • Promote early supplier involvement to improve design for manufacturability (DFM), cost, and quality.

Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Drive alignment across Engineering, Category, and Operations to ensure clear priorities, ownership, and timely decisions.
  • Translate business and product requirements into effective material and supplier strategies.

Supplier Strategy & Relationship Management
  • Establish and handle strategic supplier partnerships, shifting from transactional sourcing to proactive collaboration.
  • Lead complex negotiations balancing cost, capacity, risk, and long-term partnership value.
  • Oversee supplier performance, accountability, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Program Execution & Risk Management
  • Manage NPD sourcing timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure on-time and on-budget execution.
  • Identify and mitigate risks through proactive planning and supplier engagement.
  • Lead supplier lean initiatives and risk management for critical programs.

Data-Driven Decision Making
  • Leverage analytics to monitor performance, identify risks, and guide cost and schedule decisions.

Market Intelligence & Innovation
  • Build industry knowledge through supplier engagement, site visits, and market analysis.
  • Integrate supplier and industry innovation into sourcing strategies to drive competitive advantage.

Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead and develop a high-performing NPD Supply team through clear role definition, coaching, and empowerment.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and professional growth.

Pay Transparency

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range:
$105,000.00 - $195,000.00

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
