Full Job Description
Your Role:

MilliporeSigma is seeking a Sourcing Manager. The Sourcing Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end strategic sourcing process of direct materials for key strategic suppliers. This role focuses on closely collaborating with Category Managers to translate category strategies into actionable sourcing strategies that align with the organization's business objectives. The Sourcing Manager will oversee the identification, negotiation, qualification, and management of strategic supplier relationships, ensuring that sourcing activities support the company's growth and innovation initiatives while addressing any performance or quality issues. In this role you will develop, implement and support the Category strategy for the plant(s) and suppliers assigned translating this into supplier & portfolio strategies and executing to generate value in the dimension's financial contribution, supply security and sustainability.

Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local/regional stakeholders, including plant management, planners, buyers, and quality assurance, to ensure sourcing requirements are met and staffed if and where needed
  • Lead the end-to-end sourcing process, including supplier identification, bid management, negotiation, qualification, and onboarding
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with strategic suppliers to secure favorable agreements that meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements
  • Manage supplier portfolio being accountable for the price development, including actively proposing cost saving & supply continuity projects
  • Manage projects of high complexity and/or participate to plant(s) activities within Sourcing LS
  • Market monitoring to identify new/alternate suppliers to support category management in updating category strategies
  • Implement and conduct risk management process and ensure availability of mitigation plans for key materials
  • Stay informed on market trends and industry developments to adapt sourcing strategies to changing business environments


This position can be filled in St. Louis, MO, Milwaukee, WI, or Lenexa, KS.

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Life Sciences, or other Business or Science fields

OR
  • Bachelor's degree in any field with 2+ years of industry experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain or procurement


Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA or advanced degree
  • Strategic sourcing, supply chain or procurement experience within the Life Sciences, Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, Academia or other Corporate industries, with a strong focus on managing strategic suppliers
  • Experience in a large multi-national organization in the Life Science, or Medical Device industry, in a global, matrix organization supporting and leading strategic sourcing/category management
  • Experience performing in a fast-paced, goal oriented and time-sensitive environment
  • Proven track record of successfully managing the end-to-end sourcing process, including supplier identification, negotiations, qualification, and performance management
  • Experience with end-to-end supplier lifecycle management-identifying, negotiating, qualifying, onboarding, and sustaining strategic relationships to drive value in financial contribution, supply security, and sustainability
  • Ability to balance rigorous cost/quality/delivery requirements with risk management, market intelligence, and cross-functional collaboration in a matrix environment
  • Ability to maintain strong stakeholder engagement
  • Proven negotiation and contracting skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex sourcing projects and cost-containment initiatives
  • Experience in risk mitigation for key materials
  • Strategic thinker with practical execution skills and a track record of delivering measurable value


Pay Range for this position: $76,500 - $114,700

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
