What You\'ll DoPrimary Responsibilities:• Support the development and execution of SimpliSafe\'s hardware sourcing strategy, ensuring alignment with the company\'s product roadmap, supply chain objectives, and long-term manufacturing strategy.
• Manage day-to-day relationships with Contract Manufacturing (CM) and Joint Development Manufacturing (JDM) partners, ensuring performance targets for cost, quality, delivery, and responsiveness are met.
• Monitor supplier performance using established metrics and scorecards, drive corrective actions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, Quality, Operations, and Manufacturing teams to resolve supplier-related issues and support product lifecycle management activities.
• Support new product introductions (NPI) by coordinating with manufacturing partners and internal stakeholders to ensure products launch on schedule, meet quality expectations, and achieve cost targets.
• Identify and execute cost reduction opportunities for existing products through supplier negotiations, process improvements, and value engineering initiatives.
• Lead commercial negotiations, including product pricing, tooling investments, non-recurring engineering (NRE) expenses, and other manufacturing-related costs.
• Support supplier selection, qualification, and RFx activities in partnership with SimpliSafe\'s Asia sourcing and operations teams.
• Work with the Legal team to support contract review, compliance, and negotiation with suppliers
• Monitor supplier capacity, material availability, and operational risks, escalating issues and supporting mitigation plans to ensure supply continuity.
What You\'ll BringDesired Skills and Experience:• 3+ years in managing outsourced manufacturing and development of consumer electronics
• Extensive project management and partner relationship management experience
• Enjoy working in a highly collaborative environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Analytical with a high degree of attention to detail
• Enthusiastic and motivated with the ability to build relationships
• Experience in contracts and contract negotiations, and contract strategy development and execution
• Demonstrated experience managing by influence, both with internal and external partners
• Experience improving supply chain and supplier performance, including the use of cost models and performance metrics in the contract manufacturing industry
• Experience working with Asian manufacturers and traveling to manufacturing sites. Ability to travel internationally 15%
• Bachelor\'s Degree in ME, EE, IE, Business, or Supply Chain Management
Nice-to-haves:• Master\'s degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineering or MBA
• Language skills with the ability to speak/read Mandarin/Chinese
• Strong understanding of geo-political and global trade influences within Asia

The target annual base pay range for this role is $81,000 to $118,000
This target annual base pay range represents our good-faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this role. We use a market-based compensation approach to set our target annual base pay ranges and make adjustments annually. We carefully tailor individual compensation packages, including base pay, taking into consideration employees\' job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and other relevant business factors.
