Full Job Description
Role Purpose:

We are looking for an experienced Sonographer to join our clinical team in New York City. This role is responsible for independently administering abdominal and vascular ultrasounds as part of Neko's full-body preventive health scan.

You will perform and interpret studies across both modalities, producing accurate, same-session reports - working autonomously within defined escalation protocols. You will work alongside our Echocardiographer and closely with the NYC Medical Area Lead to ensure findings are integrated into each member's complete health picture.

This is a full-time role based at our clinics in Manhattan.

What You'll Deliver in the First 6-12 Months:

  • Perform abdominal ultrasound examinations including liver, gallbladder, spleen, kidneys, and aorta in accordance with AIUM guidelines and Neko clinical protocols.
  • Perform peripheral vascular studies including lower and upper limb arterial and venous assessments.
  • Independently complete scans partnering with radiology partners and Neko clinical leads to deliver a high
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary clinical team to incorporate findings into full-body preventive health assessments.
  • Participate in regular MDT meetings and contribute findings that inform care pathways.
  • Follow Neko's escalation protocols consistently and document findings in the clinical record accurately.
  • Liaise directly with our consulting specialists when escalation or second opinion is required.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities including audit and peer review.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of ultrasound protocols as the US clinical model develops.


Minimum Requirements:

  • ARDMS certification in Abdomen (RDMS-AB) and vascular certification (RVT or RDMS-VS) required.
  • Minimum two years of post-certification independent reporting experience across abdominal and vascular modalities.
  • Strong communication skills - able to explain findings clearly to members without medical backgrounds and to clinical colleagues.
  • Commitment to high clinical standards and active engagement in ongoing professional development.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.


Preferred:

  • Additional ultrasound certifications (IE: musculoskeletal or cardiac)- Familiarity with integrating findings into broader preventive or longitudinal health assessments.
  • Experience in a high-volume or technology-forward clinical setting.
  • Prior involvement in clinical research, protocol development, or health technology initiatives.
  • If you do not have these skills at hire, an interest in developing cardiac ultrasound skills over time (training support available) is strongly desired.
