Who You Are:The Solutions Engineer will be the primary technical resource for the sales teams and the sales resource for the operations teams. The Solutions Engineer will determine customer requirements during the evaluation stage of the sales process and will provide technical solutions. This role will answer both business and technical questions from customers while demonstrating the benefits of products and services. This role is the direct interface with internal teams in order to assemble and present technical, contractual, and service order information to our customers.
What You Will Do: - Design complex hosting solutions and corresponding services, working with sales personnel in response to customer needs with minimal supervision.
- Present advanced technical concepts in a clear manner to customers through demonstrations, technical review, and design/proposal presentations.
- Effectively communicate requirements to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with operational staff as it relates to initiatives that affect the Solutions Engineering Team.
- Respond to functional and technical elements of RFPs
What You Will Need to be Successful:- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- Four or more years of experience in Sales Engineering, preferably focused on managed services and custom designed solutions or applicable customer facing experience
- Two or more years of experience working in data center infrastructure (space, power, connectivity) or equivalent experience
Nice to Have:- Three or more years of experience with enterprise and hyperscale colocation design to include power, cooling and networking.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Strong desire and self-motivated to learn and expand knowledge of technical and interpersonal skills.
- Able to demonstrate strong analytical capabilities and technical knowledge by providing innovative yet supportable solutions.
- Excellent written and presentation communication skills with the capacity to articulate complex technical topics to varying customer audiences (administrators to executives).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
