About The RoleThe Solutions Engineer for Platform Experiences is responsible for designing, scoping, and implementing technical solutions for experiences that delight users, showcase platform capabilities at industry-defining moments, and create unique monetization opportunities. This role works closely with Product, Ad Ops, and Engineering to build custom solutions from initial design through launch and post-launch optimization.
What You'll Be Doing- Work to create experiences that highlight Roku's unique market position as an OEM, an entertainment platform, and a TV OS
- Meet regularly with Product and Engineering to design and implement custom products within our ad tech stack.
- Collaborate with QA Engineering teams to create and maintain regression test cases for new and existing products
- Test new and existing products, providing feedback to Engineering on design and implementation
- Troubleshoot product issues, identify root causes, and escalate to Engineering teams when needed.
- Write clear documentation and define detailed specifications for new products and features.
- Review existing workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability
- Pioneer experimental features that expand Roku's value proposition beyond content delivery, exploring new ways the platform can integrate into users' daily lives
We're Excited If You Have- 5-10 years of experience in AdTech/MarTech at a leading publisher, DSP, SSP, ad network, or agency, preferably in a Solutions, Integrations, or Professional Services Engineering role.
- 1-3 years of experience with data visualization tools such as Looker, Datadog, Tableau, or similar, including the ability to develop custom dashboards, looks, and views. Hands-on experience with SQL, Hive, or another database technology is required.
- Comprehension and hands-on experience trafficking digital video and other formats, including VAST and VMAP.
- A strong track record of providing technical support for external and internal stakeholders, particularly while overseeing complex integrations.
- The ability to communicate concisely and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with audiences such as Product, Engineering, Operations, and Sales.
- An analytical mindset; project-management orientation; and a deadline-driven, process-oriented, and solutions-focused approach to work.
- Experience partnering with Engineering teams to triage and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field or equivalent work experience.
