Solutions Engineer role with TaskUs:
As a Solutions Engineer with TaskUs, you will serve as the primary technical architect for our most strategic global enterprise accounts. In this role, you will design and implement complex, multi-pillar AI engagements and data pipelines that span the entire model lifecycle-from initial data collection to post-deployment safety evaluations.
You will act as the critical link between our clients' AI objectives and our internal delivery teams. Your mission is to ensure that every proposed solution is technically robust, commercially viable, and aligned with the highest standards of AI safety and ethics. By balancing technical depth with a consultative mindset, you will help the world's largest organizations transform emerging AI technologies into transparent, secure, and high-performing enterprise assets.
You will lead the technical solutioning and scoping for a comprehensive suite of AI services:
- Model Evaluation & Red Teaming: Developing rigorous testing methodologies to identify and mitigate risks, including prompt injections, hallucinations, and safety vulnerabilities.
- Data Strategy & Collection: Architecting large-scale data acquisition programs to support high-performance model development.
- Precision Annotation & Labeling: Designing custom annotation schemas and human-in-the-loop (HITL) workflows to optimize model accuracy and alignment.
- AI Safety Frameworks: Implementing guardrails and benchmarking systems that ensure compliance with emerging global AI standards.
Responsibilities - Lead the end-to-end technical discovery process to design bespoke AI safety and development engagements, including red teaming, data collection, and expert labeling.
- Collaborate with Sales + Service Line Leadership to navigate complex sales cycles within the Global 2000, acting as the technical authority to secure the "technical win."
- Partner with internal Product and Engineering teams to translate client requirements into actionable Statements of Work (SOWs), ensuring operational feasibility and resource alignment.
- Consult on advanced LLM workflows, providing expertise on model training, fine-tuning methodologies, and comprehensive evaluation metrics.
- Partner with internal teams to architect model configurations that balance performance, safety, and cost, providing precise estimates of inference spend as part of the overall pricing strategy.
- Architect robust adversarial testing (red teaming) and guardrail strategies to identify and remediate risks such as bias, toxicity, and prompt injection.
- Work closely with Finance and Operations to develop pricing structures for large-scale data and safety projects, balancing competitive positioning with internal margin targets.
- Act as the primary technical interface for C-suite and technical stakeholders, delivering high-impact presentations and managing Proof of Concept (POC) success criteria.
Required Qualifications- Mid-level experience (4 - 7 years) in Data Science or Machine Learning, with a specific focus on the training and evaluation of Large Language Models.
- Proven experience supporting large-scale technical sales to global organizations, with a deep understanding of enterprise security, privacy, and procurement standards.
- A strong professional interest or background in AI Alignment and Safety
- Ability to move beyond "off-the-shelf" features to create multi-pillar service offerings that address unique client data and safety needs.
- Exceptional ability to bridge the gap between highly technical engineering teams and non-technical business executives.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex workstreams and internal stakeholder interests simultaneously.
