Serve as a strategic advisor within Workplace Technologies, partnering with business and technology leaders to address complex challenges and shape scalable solutions across people, process, data, and technology. This role leads discovery, frames problems, evaluates tradeoffs, and drives alignment to enable informed decision-making and successful delivery.
Operating at the intersection of business strategy and IT, the Solutions Consultant influences roadmaps, investment decisions, and solution direction-supporting initiatives such as platform modernization, experience transformation, and AI enablement. The role requires strong synthesis, stakeholder influence, and the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable outcomes.
Core Responsibilities- Builds and maintains strong working relationships with key partners to ensure priorities, tradeoffs, and recommendations are understood and aligned. Leverages influencing and negotiation skills to drive consensus and champion optimal, enterprise-aligned solutions. Acts as a change agent by clearly articulating value and impact to support adoption of new technologies and processes.
- Translates complex business challenges into strategic, scalable, and cost-effective technology solutions. Evaluates alternatives across people, process, data, and technology, leveraging broad IT knowledge and emerging trends. Develops capability blueprints across software, middleware, and infrastructure while ensuring alignment with architectural standards and IT policies.
- Partners with business and IT leaders to align initiatives, priorities, and delivery sequencing to strategic business and IT plans. Supports roadmap development by connecting business objectives to technology capabilities and identifying dependencies.
- Influences organizational decision-making by synthesizing insights on existing technologies, emerging capabilities, and market trends. Guides stakeholders in evaluating tradeoffs and selecting solutions that align to long-term strategy and enterprise priorities.
- Leads the evolution of capability landscapes for one or more lines of business in partnership with product, business, and architecture stakeholders. Maintains deep understanding of business domains and industry trends to inform priorities and decision-making.
- Maintains a comprehensive understanding of business functions and operating models. Applies technical and functional expertise to design practical, scalable solutions, identifying key patterns, dependencies, and opportunities across systems.
- Participates in strategic initiatives, enterprise programs, and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications- Minimum of eight years related work experience, with at least three years of development experience.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
